Valentines Day & Mardi Gras

Love is in the air- and so are beads! We attended a Mardi Gras parade downtown with the kids- Ava kept her Cupid wings on all day!

D is for Dragon (and Dinosaurs)

1. Gather your materials. You will need some construction paper, red tissue paper, a marker, a googly eye , glue and scissors.
2. You can either draw a big letter D with your marker or print one out from the computer (like me), have your child paint the D the color green. Cut out the D.

3. While your child is painting the D, use you marker to draw small triangles on green construction paper and cut them out to use for dragon spikes.

4. Once the letter D has dried, cut out the D and glue it to a piece of construction paper.

5. Glue the spikes along the straight side of the D.

6. Cut out a small circle from black construction paper and glue it on the dragon for an eye. Glue the googly eye on top of the circle.
7. Cut out some tissue paper fire. Glue the fire to the dragon D.

I also print out a coloring sheet of little dinosaurs so that junior could be included.
